Adopt a Gluten-Free Blogger: The Round Up

It was such an honour to host Adopt a Gluten-Free Blogger, the monthly event created by Sea of Book of Yum and an opportunity for gluten-free bloggers everywhere to get to know other gluten-free bloggers and make their recipes. This was my first time hosting and we had a lovely turn out of a range of gluten-free bloggers.

Eleanor of Eating Like a Horse adopted me, making my honey cookies (made with almond flour and grain-free).

Marissa and Alena of Two Sisters Gluten Free adopted Karina of Gluten-Free Goddess and made quite a feast! Gluten-Free English MuffinsNew Mexican Stew with Ground Turkey and Green Chiles, and Artichoke and Jalapeno Savory Pie.

Maggie of She Let Them Eat Cake fame adopted Kim of Your Green Baby, making a Chickpea Stew and Lentil Sloppy Joes. (The chickpea stew in particular is calling me, not to mention such vibrant colours.)

Lauren of As Good As Gluten adopted Lynn of Lynn’s Kitchen Adventures and made three of her recipes, Green Chili and Cheese Cornbread, Mexican Chicken Lasagna, and Homemade Vanilla Pudding.

Kalinda of Wheat Free Meat Free made Chana Masala, adopting Brittany of Real Sustenance.

Alta of Tasty Eats at Home adopted Cheryl of Gluten Free Goodness, making curried greens and Brazil nut chip cookies.

A double adoption this month, Gigi of Gluten-Free Gigi was adopted by Debi of Hunter’s Lyonesse and Thomas of GFCF Experience. Debi made Naked Berry Spread, Kale Chips with Rosemary and Sea Salt, Choco-AVO-late Brownies, Raw Nut-Free Fudge, and Tarta Marithoriza and Thomas made Gigi’s Jelly Doughnut Muffins. Don’t they all look delish?

Wendy of Celiacs in the House adopted Hallie of Daily Bites and made her Southwest Pasta Salad with Black Beans & Avocado and Grilled Fish and Baby Green Salad.

 Shirley of Gluten Free Easily adopted Heidi of Adventures of a Gluten Free Mom and made Power Truffles.

Mary of Franny Cakes adopted Meg of Gluten Free Boulangerie and made an Artisan French Loaf. Just by looks alone, it could easily pass for wheat bread!

Valerie of City|Life| Eats adopted Alta of Tasty Eats at Home and made Moroccan Inspired Vegan Quinoa SkilletSquash and Chard Casserole, and  Zucchini and Sundried Tomato Casserole

Cheryl of Gluten Free Goodness adopted Carrie of Ginger Lemon Girl and made her famous Chocolate Chip Cookies and Pancakes. (I’ve also adopted Carrie and made her cookies, as well as a shortbread version.)

Iris adopted Ricki of Diet, Dessert and Dogs and made Ricki’s Tart Crust, with a strawberry filling, as well as three recipes from her e-book. You’ll have to click over to Iris’ post to find out what those recipes were! 😉

And, last but not least – actually, almost forgetting myself in the mix! – I adopted Carol of Simply…Gluten-Free and made gluten-free and dairy-free cream puffs.

  1. You know I see almost all of these adoption posts throughout the month, but when the post are summarized and the gorgeous pics shared, it delights me anew every time! Great job hosting, Zoe! I did miss one or two so must take a closer look at those now. 😉

    I wish it weren’t after midnight when I’m reading – I’m hungry looking at all the wonderful dishes on the page!
